Details:

Originally, EoD was supposed to be a Dok solo. I met with Dok some months after The Arrival hit the streets of LC. Dok was running with another crew at the time and was looking for other producers to help him build his album. We started recording a few songs, while Chase's album was already underway. My solo, a distant third on the priority list, was getting underway as well. Not long after, Dok and I decided we should just collab and start this project.

Recording began early 2005, and along the way I met up with Smoke and Amoni (Two top prospects). The concept of the album was to give the listener a sense of danger, like something was going to happen, and the only way to find out is to listen to the album. The samples chosen, the topics covered, and everything in between was based around this central idea. Not trying to concentrate on being too clever with medaphors, we concentrated mostly on rhyme structure and concepts. I think what you end up getting is an album unlike anything heard out the Southwest.

Still, the album never did see a release. Scheduled to be released late Summer '05, Dok vanished for a couple of months. He later returned and decided that it would be best to release the album that Fall, but again he dissappeared. Forced with a decision to release the album solo, or just not release it at all. In the end, I decided it would be best kept to the side. Still yet to be released, EoD hangs in limbo until both Dok and I decide what's best for the album. I don't mind letting people listen to it though, and I welcome anybody with a willingness to hear, what I consider, one of the best albums out the Southwest. Period.
